Chain link fencing, also known as cyclone fence or Diamond wire mesh, is one of the most popular fence for both light residential to heavy commercial fence applications. It is made of woven steel wire, which is commonly used of all the fencing fabrics and normally available in a variety of wire gauges and mesh sizes to suit individual applications. Chain link fence is easy to install, can either powder coated, or coated PVC in standard colors such as black, dark brown, and dark green.

Weave types

Chain link fence also called diamond mesh fence. The chain link fence is formed by twisting wire raw material toghther. There are also two kinds of edges which are folded edge and twisted edge.

Twisted edge

When the mesh does not need to connect with the top rails. Then use the twisted edge type commonly.

Folded edge

If your fence have the horizontal rail that need to connect with the mesh, folded edge type will be your best choice.

Coiling Process:

High-tensile steel wire rods are used, typically galvanized (zinc-coated) or PVC-coated for corrosion resistance.

The wire is fed into automated looms that twist pairs of wires to form diamond mesh openings in a continuous sheet.

After weaving, the hexagonal mesh is automatically fed into a coiling machine via rollers. 

Production

Wire Feeding & Straightening: Steel wire is uncoiled from large spools and straightened.
Knitting (Weaving): The straightened wires are mechanically woven together on a knitting machine. One set of wires is continuously bent and interlinked with another set of wires running perpendicularly to lock them together, forming the mesh.
Coiling: The continuously produced woven mesh is automatically wound onto large rolls.

The chain link fence rolls are packaged using waterproof plastic bags to protect them from moisture, rain, and dust during transportation and storage. This packaging method ensures that the galvanized or coated surface remains intact, preventing rust and corrosion, and keeping the product in optimal condition until installation.

The chain link fence rolls are stacked neatly in alternating directions to save space and keep them stable during transport. Waterproof plastic film is used to protect them from moisture and dust. This method increases loading efficiency while keeping the rolls in good condition.

This is an upgraded packaging method where the chain link fence rolls are first wrapped in waterproof plastic bags and then placed into custom-sized wooden paper cartons. This double-layer protection prevents moisture, dust, and mechanical damage during transport, ensuring the products arrive in perfect condition.
