In the petroleum industry, it serves as a mud screen; in chemical and fiber industries, as a sieve filter; and in electroplating industries, as an acid-washing screen. It is typically made from stainless steel wire, nickel wire, or brass wire.
In metal wire woven dense mesh, the weft wires are densely arranged. There are five weaving methods: plain weave, twill weave, plain Dutch weave, twill Dutch weave, and reverse Dutch weave. The specifications for stainless steel mesh range from 5 to 2000 mesh.
