Hexagonal wire mesh owns hexagonal shape holes with same sizes. Its material mainly is low carbon steel.
According to different surface treatments, hexagonal wire mesh can be divided into two types: galvanized wire and PVC coated wire. Wire diameter of galvanized hexagonal wire mesh is from 0.37 mm - 1.8 mm, and Wire diameter of PVC coated hexagonal wire mesh is from 0.7 mm - 2.2 mm.
Hexagonal wire mesh with good flexibility and anti-corrosion is widely used as gabion for protecting slopes. According to different applications, hexagonal wire mesh can be divided into chicken wire and slope protection wire (or gabion wire mesh), the former one has smaller mesh openings.

Woven types:
The wire of hexagonal mesh can be twisted in two ways.Both of them can be used for a variety of purposes. The normal twist hexagonal mesh can be used as gabion mesh and made into mesh boxes for rocks. The reverse twist ones are generally used as animal fences.
Surface Treatment types:
Hot dip galvanizing/ Electro galvanizing
Hot dip galvanizing is the most effective of the anti rust manifestations. The price is also relatively expensive. However, the disadvantage is the single color of the surface. Electro galvanizing is the cheapest of these. Also the least functional.
PVC coated
In terms of corrosion and rust protection, this treatment has almost the same effect as hot-dip galvanizing. Its advantage is its colorful appearance. It can be made in different colors on request. It is also basically similar in price to hot-dip galvanizing.
